Acts and Actions between Kids at School

What's happening between our kids? Have you ever wondered about that? Are they nice or mean towards one another? As the saying goes, children act and create actions because of what goes on in the home. But in some cases that isn't true. However, us parents want the best for our kids and want them to be successful in school. We try our best to instill goodness in them. Bringing them up in life and showing them the ways, teaching them right and wrong is what we do in raising our children.

At times we may ask ourselves: is my child or children behaving in school, are they different at school than at home, are they listening to the teacher, are they having a good day? And it's okay to do that. We worry and it's our job as parents to make sure they are safe and doing well at school. Sometimes, we must reach out and making sure they are getting the help they need. Talk with your child's teacher or principle. Stay in the loop of what's going on at school or the bus stop. Being aware can prevent bad things from occurring.

Stepping up! We must let the children know that it is okay to come to us for help. Assure them that they can talk to you about anything. Sometimes kids will hold it in and won't say nothing. They are scared or they feel it's best that way and everything will be fine.

What are they dealing with?

These students have to worry about anxiety, bullying, depression, peer pressure, appearance, acceptance, mean people and not belonging or fitting in. Some have low self-esteem and can't cope with it well. In society we worry about what others think of us. But it's a big issue in school.

Kids talk! That's another reason why we have to watch what we say around them. They will repeat things. As parents, we don't won't them to have a negative reaction and to have a bad day. Wishing our kids well and showing love is what we do. These foundations and paving the way so they can have a better future is what we want. That's we have to support our kids in every way possible for the best.

How can I get involve with my child at school?

Go have lunch with him or her. Volunteer at the school. Bring cupcakes for the class for their birthday. Chaperone on their field trips. Have a day where you do an early dismissal and take them for ice cream or a fun day.

Ways to help kids cope with stress:

Staying calm- put their head down on the desk or squeeze a soft ball, seek help- talk to the teacher or the guidance counselor and parents. Let them know that it's okay to admit their faults. And in any situation that doesn't feel right to walk away. Tell them that's what they do if someone is bothering them and to say stop.

All in all, if you are having a bad day; you shouldn't let it rub off on others. Be careful how you talk to people. Treat them as you would want to be treated. Be nice to one another. Kindness goes a long ways.

Ways children can show kindness:

Say good morning
Give a compliment
Smile
Give a classmate a high five
Write a thank you or sorry card

Let's continue to motivate these students. Give them the courage and hope to keep moving forward in life. The actions you use towards helping them is kindness of your heart. And that will have a great impact on them. Stepping up and making a difference is a big plus. You will change lives in a positive way.
